Bio

My name is Bruce McLaughlan and I’m the head TACFIT Coach as well as a CrossFit L1 Coach at Five Lakes CrossFit. I began TACFIT in 2010, after years of conventional exercise left me with painful joint injuries. TACFIT healed my shoulders and helped me to finally lose 25 pounds of body fat. I added CrossFit to my workout routine in 2014, and obtained my L1 later that year.

Additional Certifications

Meanwhile, I continued advancing in TACFIT, adding certifications in Circular Strength Training and Clubbell Athletics, as well as FlowFit. After a year of dedicated preparation, I passed the extremely rigorous physical and knowledge examination to become a TACFIT Team Leader, the first in the Midwest and one of only a few in the nation. This experience showed me the almost limitless potential of the human body to continue to develop and improve.

Mobility and TACFIT and Big Ten

Our Mobility classes provide the same benefits to those who aren’t prepared for the rigors of high-intensity exercise.

As the elder of the coaching staff, I’m stronger today than I was as a member of the Big Ten Champion men’s Rugby team at Michigan State University. I’ve applied my hard-won knowledge to sports training, and written a book on team fitness. I’m active in the international TACFIT community, and look forward to helping many more athletes to reach and exceed their goals.
