Bio

Hi, my name is Zac Massa! I started Crossfit in 2015 and immediately fell in love with every aspect of Five Lakes and Crossfit in general.

I started doing Crossfit style workouts in a friend’s garage while I was away at college and ever since then, Crossfit has been a big part of my life. I grew up playing hockey my entire life and when I graduated from college and stopped playing, Crossfit filled that void. After years of watching and listening to James, Liz, and other coaches, I decided to get my L1 Certificate in March and It has easily been one of the bests decisions I have made.

Throughout the years, I have seen so many people come into Five Lakes of all different ages, fitness backgrounds, day to day lives, etc. I think this is one of the main reasons I love Crossfit so much. The community, especially here at Five Lakes, is one of a kind. There is just something about pushing and cheering each other through those final minutes/seconds of workouts that I feel allows people to push a little harder than they thought they could. Ultimately, whether your goal is to be competitive or improve your general health & fitness, Five Lakes has proven to be the right choice. There’s nothing better as a coach than seeing the growth and improvement from every member over months or years of hard work. I can’t imagine going through it every day with any other community.
